EXCELLENT Canon 514XL-S Super 8 8mm Movie Camera C8 Zoom Lens FILM TESTED US

Up for grabs is a Canon 514XL-S Super 8 Movie Camera with a Canon C8 Macro Zoom Lens (9-45mm f/1.4). It has been fully inspected and film tested, and all functions found to be working accurately and appropriately. This unit has been cleaned and serviced.

Comes with original lens cap, wrist strap, and German Instructions obviously more of a novelty unless you read German! The only issue is that the record trigger is sticky... I've chalked this up to a faulty spring in the trigger. It doesnt affect the ability to record, as you just have to flick it back into place with your trigger finger. Also, it does not affect the record lock at all.

This camera is in excellent condition. The glass is clean and clear, except for very minor internal dust and a few tiny spots on the exterior coating. This is no way affects image quality. The viewfinder is crisp and clean, as are the film and battery compartments.

All light seals are perfectly in tact. The motor and zoom run with ease - it is clear the belts are still in wonderful condition. There is some minor dust and minor signs of use. Battery check, footage counter, macro set lever and exposure plate all functioning appropriately and properly. All audio and tone settings and inputs found to be functioning and accurate. The dioptric adjustment and focus are both smooth and accurate. The CCA filter works as it should. Both speed settings also found accurate. Record bulb illuminates during recording process. Record, record lock, and single frame shooting all functioning.

Exposure lock, and audio level lock functioning as well. Manual and auto zoom are both smooth. Battery cover fits and closes well, and film door closes perfectly. There is no drying out of lens hood or eye-piece. I specialize in cameras - see my feedback!
