Graflex SUPER GRAPHIC 4x5 camera in ORIG BOX w/127mm Ektar lens -SUPER CLEAN! Complete with its original box, this is Graflex's premier 4x5 camera of the 1960s and early 1970s, the Super Graphic, which comes with its original 127mm f/4.7 Kodak Ektar lens. For a hand-held large format camera, this camera really has no peers because of all the advancements and features it has when compared to other 4x5 hand-held cameras of the day.
Two of the most notable features are its revolving back and its electronically operated shutter release which allows the operator to fire the shutter by simply depressing the small red button on the top left side of the camera. Two 22.5 volt batteries provide the necessary power. The Super Graphic can accommodate a host of lenses from extreme wide angles to long telephotos all of which can be cam-coupled to the built-in Super Graphic rangefinder and focusing scale. This particular Super Graphic is super clean and looks like it was hardly ever used (see photos). It's the cleanest one I have ever seen with only a few minor nicks on the exterior and some faint marks on the back door where the previous owner had taped some instructions. Also, the previous owner had written his name and address along the top edge of the revolving back which have been partially painted over (see close-up photo). Everything on the camera is functioning as it should including the electronic shutter release. The proper focusing cam for the 127mm lens is installed in the camera which allows the rangefinder to be precisely calibrated for the lens. The 127mm Kodak Ektar lens also looks incredibly clean and bright with no scratches, fungus or cleaning marks and the shutter speeds all sound accurate although I can't guarantee their speeds after so many years of non use. The rangefinder is accurate and working properly with easy-to-line-up images and the rangefinder's eyepiece has an accessory magnifier attached to it called a Graphic Rangescope which magnifies the rangefinder image by 1.5 times making more critical focus possible. Please note that the camera comes with its original battery compartment cover which is often lost on these cameras becuase it will only stay in place with batteries installed in the camera. If you're looking for a super clean 4x5 with the most advanced and convenient features, look no further. And if you simply want to display the camera, you will be hard pressed to find another one as clean as this that also comes with its rare original box. This includes restrictions on any internet or website display, usage or transfer.
