THIS LISTING IS FOR CAMERA SERVICE/MODIFICATION ONLY. The camera on the pictures is NOT INCLUDED.

The lenses you see on the pictures are multi coated Tessar type 38mm f/2.8 lenses that come from one of the late 1980s models of Japanese rangefinder cameras. They offer much better image quality than the original FED lenses, which were designed in 1960s for an entry level FED Mikron camera.
The image quality I get from these lenses e specially in terms of color saturation surpass even my Belplasca. I shot with my modified FED in overcast, in shade and subdued light and always got good contrast and colors while my Belplasca (or Realist 2.8) struggle in these conditions to deliver contrasty photos. To me, the ultimate test of a small lens is a portrait taken from 10 ft. If the person look "alive" on the photos with an expression in their eyes the lens is good. If the eyes look dull, I pass on the lens. I went through a dozen of lenses, various brands and models and I've chosen the best one. Camera mods are extremely time consuming. It took me countless hours of work and some investment to develop this modification. My asking price is a bargain. Most of what you pay is the cost of lenses. The service includes installation of two lenses in mint condition with focus calibration.

My turnaround time is approx 7 days. I have some experience with FED Stereo repairs, including light meter replacement (to a Japan made meter). WHY IS FED STEREO WORTH IT? It's the only mass produced auto exposure stereo camera.

It also features a modern film advance lever. That makes it a very fast shooter. I love "all manual" vintage cameras too but they're slow to use and I missed too many great photos or got incorrect exposure because of quickly changing conditions. I don't think I ever had a incorrect exposure from FED Stereo. Since the only thing I have to do is focusing, I can put my whole attention into capturing the moment.

FED Stereo is also one of just few 7p cameras (wider frame than Realist, close to full frame) on the market. Until recently my daily shooter was Belplasca. I owned several of FED Stereo cameras for years but I rarely used them because I wasn't happy with the image quality they produced. My pictures taken with FED had poor contrast and color saturation.

They were flat and lacked character. That's why I decided to improve my camera. I wanted it to be a P&S camera with Belplasca image quality. I used the best lenses I could find and the results exceeded my expectations. PLEASE READ THIS If you're new to a slide film and don't have a reliable lab, please do some research on line.

If you send your films (especially new Ektachrome) to a random lab that develops E-6 film you can be almost sure that they'll ruin your films. The best is to use a lab that professional photographers use. From my painful experience I know that very few labs in the US can develop the New Ekachrome (which is an amazing film) with no "special effects" like a color shift or haze. This item is in the category "Cameras & Photo\Vintage Movie & Photography\Vintage Cameras\Stereo Cameras". The seller is "rangefindercamera" and is located in this country: US.
