Rolleiflex TLR 2.8f Twin Lens Reflex Camera. Okay, so I have three Rolleiflexes and I need to thin down the collection. This is a 2.8f, made early on in the run so is likely 1962.

It was recently extensively serviced which included recoating the taking lens and the shutter and transport mechanism all checked and lubricated. Shutter speeds all good, self timer clear and buzzy, focussing smooth. Automat works well, spacing all sound.

I note from my log that I have put 47 rolls through it before I reverted to my 3.5f which is the Rolleiflex Im keeping. Some snaps I took with this camera are attached.

There are a few areas that should be noted. 1: The rear left post on the underside is slightly bent so the camera doesnt sit squarely on a flat surface. 2: The meter is accurate, but overreads exactly two stops. This can be dealt with by lowering the asa on the dial, or use the filter compensation dial.

3: The take up spool has the 35mm counter knob on it, although this camera is 120 film only. This does not effect how the camera is used or any of its functionality. I presume the camera was adapted to 35mm years ago, and when it was changed back to 120, the external counter was left on. Internally, the cameras is fully 120 roll film compliant!
4: the left hand catch for the removable hood needs a bit of jiggling to free. Not a biggie, but you need to know. Not mint but works well.

If youre a collector, maybe think of another, but if you want a reliable shooter that will likely last out your great-grandchildren, this might be for you. Comes bundled with a lens hood (non Rollei but a good one), lens cap, Rollei Yellow filter and bay III to 52mm adaptor. I do not sell high value items to buyers with little, no, or unrelated feedback.
