A vintage spring-wound 16mm mirror-reflex movie camera KRASNOGORSK-3 with Meteor 5-1 lens produced by "Krasnogorsk Mechanical Works" ("KMZ", Russia) approximately in the 1970s. It was one of the most popular 16mm movie cameras in Eastern Europe, where it made a prominent appearance in Krzysztof Kielowski's 1979 film "Camera Buff", and continues to enjoy considerable popularity in the West. Uses standard 100-foot (30 m) load of 16mm film (single or double-perforation). No provision for an external magazine. Shooting frequency: 8, 12, 16, 24, 32, 48 fps and single frame.
Lens Meteor 5-1: f/1.9 1769 mm zoom, considered by many to be a quality optic; the M42 screw-mount allows for the use of widely available lenses from 35 mm still cameras. May experience vignetting at the widest zoom. Single pulldown claw and no registration pin.

At 24 frame/s, the camera will run for about 25 seconds on a full wind. Film speed is adjustable from 8 frame/s to 48 frame/s. A single-frame release at the back allows for animation and other single-frame applications. Dimensions: 326 x 104 x 194 mm. Goes with the original bag, a handle, a shoulder rest and the lens with an original cap.
The camera is in good condition. It goes without batteries, so there was no opportunity to check whether it works or not.

But everything rotates and clicks without problems, the sound of shooting is heard. The lens glass and optics are clean. There are small scuffs and scratches on the camera and the lens surface. The camera goes with the original bag, a handle, a shoulder rest and the lens with an original cap.
