Vintage Kodak Medalist Il 6x9 Med Format Camera with Heliar-like Ektar lens. Kodak celebrated 100 years annevesary with Medilist II camera was not a surprise. This 6x9 range finder camera has potential to be a Hasselblad killer in photographic image quality with bigger format, nicer lens and without more bulk weight than a Hasselblad kit. However, Kodak did not promote Medalist II properly during early post WWII time due to high cost of making it in house in the US.
And Kodak preferred to let imported cameras to do the job of promoting film use. Thus Kodak's best camera stopped at this Medalist II. Lens is clean clear, range finder and view finder work nicely, camera is not film tested due to lack of affordable 620 film. At the listed price, it is a killer deal. The future appreciation potential is excellent, as there is no better American made camera than this Medalist II.
