Cosmetically and functionally very nice Bolex H16 REX-5 Reflex with lenses, Rex-O-Fader. Here is very nice fully functional film-tested H16 Reflex Bolex REX-5, with 3 very nice Som-Berthiot C-mount lenses - 10mm/1.9, 25mm/1.4, 100mm/3.8, plus a Rex-O-Fader, filter holders/cutters, correct rewind knob, and original instruction manuals. A very nice complete kit to get you off and shooting right away! I shot some test footage a few weeks ago, with all 3 lenses. Bolex Rex5 Test on Kodak Ektachrome 100D 16mm film. And you'll find my hi-def scan of that film. As explained in the description of that video, this is a "full frame scan" - the entire image area on the film, including sprocket holes, raggedy gate edges, etc. With a projector or a normal scan, you don't see all that stuff around the edges, but rather just a nice clean 4:3 picture in the center. Som-Berthiot made their 10mm lens juuuuuuuuuust big enough to produce a clean image in that center area, but when you do a full frame scan, you actually see the front barrel of the lens (the filter threads part) sticking out past the glass!

I've included a picture in the listing showing the full frame, and a simulation of what it would look like when projected, or scanned normally. Note that it is ACTUALLY an H16 Reflex, not like so many of those auctions where they call it a Reflex because those sell for higher prices (but it's not actually one)! Plus it's the highly sought-after REX-5 model, with the flat bottom, the 400 ft mag port on top, the big bright reflex viewfinder, etc.

By and large it's in good shape and everything works as it should and nothing is banged up, and the speeds sound right to my ear, etc... A couple of nicks in the crinkle paint on the back, plus what look like some touched-up spots on the viewfinder and the handle mount (see pictures).

The leatherette on the handle is peeling, and you can see some surface rust on the bare metal of the handle itself. There is some schmutz in the viewfinder. From my experience with old 35mm SLRs, it looks like where the cork spacers behind the prism start showing through the mirroring. It's an out of focus "U" shape to the upper left that you can see, but you can also look past easily when shooting.
Also a little solid piece of dust somewhere in there too. It's not perfect, but it's quite usable.
The front filter threads on the 25mm and 100mm lenses have a very tiny kink in them - see close-up pictures. The focusing on the 10mm is stiff - easy enough to turn before making a shot, but would be hard to follow-focus with it on the fly. Luckily a 10mm has gobs of depth of field. Also as you'll see in the test footage, the images shot with that lens are pretty soft at the edges.

That's just the design. I'm trying to let you know absolutely everything I noticed that's less than perfect so there are no surprises, but it's actually a mighty fine example of the legendary wind-up Bolex REX-5. I hope the extensive pictures show you everything you need to know about this, but if not just message me for more info or to have me post more pictures.
