Red Cine Zoom Lens Pl Mount (compact 50-150mm) F2.8 For Arri/red/sony/panasonic

This is a great lens with a superior focal range for a long lens. 150mm gives you a great'reach' and renders the background pleasingly defocused at almost any iris setting. It's extremely compact at less than 6.5 long and lightweight at just under 1.5Kgs. It has served me well for many years and has been well looked after - serviced regularly by a top lens engineer to keep it in good condition. It is f2.8 (or T3) all the way through the zoom range with no vignetting or iris ramping which even the most expensive modern glass can be guilty of. These lenses were re-housed stills glass that RED made use of when they first began making lenses to go with their cameras.

Whilst the housings were new at the time, the glass has always had a hint of warmth and softness that you only usually get with antique lenses, that makes it particularly flattering for presenters and on screen contributor's skin tones. This particular one is a personal favourite i'm sad to get rid of. They flare beautifully when given a strong light source and often produce a gentle green bokeh. Whilst they have been looked after there is a few dust particles just inside the front element - this could be gotten rid of during the next service, or if you're patient & handy with jewellery screwdrivers but it doesn't show on camera. There is no mould inside, or oil on the iris blades. They have been kept in a warm dry environment and the iris, zoom and focus rings all move smoothly with reassuring weight to them. As far as I can tell, they're in great condition and ready to go. I can have couriered to you if you like but this is entirely at your own risk and I take. No responsibility for damage in transit.
