Vintage American Optical Company company view camera from around 1880's, together with an unmarked brass lens in a Bausch and Lomb Victor shutter. The rear opening on the camera is about 5x7", and it features a sliding back with a ground glass measuring around 4x5". The camera's movements work. The red bellows have small holes in the corners. The lens glass is clear with no noticeable scratches, haze or fungus.
The shutter cocks and runs at different speeds, but is probably inaccurate. The lens board is retained in the camera on the lower side only, the top edge is not secured. The ground glass is cracked in the middle. Cosmetically there are scuffs, oxidation on the brass parts, no dents, a scratch on the bottom plate.
