Kiev-4AM is the final chapter in the legendary Kiev rangefinder line - a Soviet reinterpretation of the famous Contax II system. Manufactured at the Arsenal Factory in Kyiv between 1980 and 1987, this model preserved the solid build and Contax bayonet mount of its predecessors, but dropped the selenium meter for a cleaner, fully mechanical experience. Equipped with the Jupiter-8M 50mm f/2 lens, the Kiev-4AM is a favorite among collectors and film photographers who love the Zeiss Sonnar rendering but want something a bit more "underground" than a Leica.
