The Yashica LM was introduced in October 1957 and 37,872 were produced; not a lot really, which is probably why we don't see many for sale today. It has auto-stop when winding on the film and the shutter is cocked by the lever on the side of the taking lens, which I personally favour over the later crank handle of the Yashica-Mat and other models. This model has the 3-element Yashikor f/3.5 80mm lens and a Copal MX shutter with speeds from 1 sec to 1/300 plus B and it has XM flash syncronisation.
The speeds are all working nicely, except 1, 2, & 5, which are running a bit slow due to lack of use. They may ease up with more use as the camera has been stored for 25 years. YES, the selenium meter IS working just nicely which is amazing after 63 years.... And how about the colour?
Electric Blue, and doesn't it make this a very striking camera. You're sure to get a lot of comments when you use it.
