You are looking at a rare Canon FD 400mm f/2.8 lens with an Arri PL mount. It was converted to PL by Century Optics and features a universal mount, metal focus gear, and lens support bracket for studio-height spacing (compatible with 15mm or 19mm Arri STUDIO lens supports). It covers Alexa LF, Sony Venice, Red Monstro, and is incredibly sharp. For a vintage lens of this age, it is in BEAUTIFUL condition. No scratches, mold, or haze, on the glass.
Only a small amount of internal dust that has no adverse affect on the image. The body shows light signs of use. In its past life, it traveled with the old hood attached and the hood's knob pushed the outer front ring in slightly (see picture). It has no impact optically or mechanically and is still compatible with a 6x6 clip-on mattebox such as the Arri LMB-4. The original lens hood is NOT included. Focus and iris is smooth. This lens will work on ANY PL lens mount or adapter. I have personally used this lens on these cameras: Arri Amira, Alexa Mini, Alexa LF, Mini LF, Sony Venice, and Red Weapon 6k. On the underside of the PL mount there is a thread that accepts 40.5mm filters and currently has a Tiffen clear installed.
