1934 Contax I, Version 7, 1932 Zeiss Tessar 5cm f2.8 lens, case, fully working. Zeiss Contax art deco masterpiece, working shutter. Beautiful condition, with lustrous shiny black paint finish (see photos) with only minor signs of wear on some edges. Shutter works at all speeds and sounds approximately correct. Film wind on works smoothly. Focus action is smooth and free. Viewfinder is clean and clear, free from haze or fungus. Rangefinder is working well, with good strong mirror image. Tessar lens has no surface scratches and only minor cleaning marks. It looks clean and clear to the naked eye when held up to a light source such as a lightbulb, but when the torch of a smartphone is shone through the lens a definite haze shows across one of the internal lens surfaces, which may be separation. This is not evident at all apart from when a smartphone torch light is shone through the lens. The case and its strap are in nice fully intact condition, with no broken stitching. There are some light scuffs which can be seen in the photos. With a little polish I think the case would look gorgeous.
