The prewar Zeiss Super Ikonta C is one gorgeous black beauty, with style, superb optics, built-in rangefinder, and Carl Zeiss quality! A great feature of the Super Ikonta C is the ability to produce either eight 6x9 photos or, with a 6x4.5 reduction mask in the film chamber, 16 photos - but only if that usually long gone auxiliary mask is still around - and here, it's included!
This camera (serial #X76067), dating from about 1934, exhibits exceptional, near-mint cosmetics and is fully functional. The leather bellows are supple and light-tight. The 4-element Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar lens (serial #1258756) is clean and clear, with no fog, fungus, scratches or cleaning marks, and the Compur shutter speeds are spot-on. This is as would be expected, after a thorough cleaning, lubrication and adjustment of this camera by one of the best vintage camera technicians in The Netherlands. With a very nice leather case & strap, the exceedingly rare 6x4.5 auxiliary reduction mask and, included but not shown, an enlarged photocopy of the original manual in English.
Also, I have added a foam "doughnut" to the metal viewing eyepiece as protection for eyeglass wearers like myself.
