MAURER 246-II 70MM HI-SPEED AIRCRAFT CAMERA W/ 150MM & 90MM LENS. Here is a rare circa late 1950's/early 1960's J.
Maurer Model 246-11 70mm Super High-Speed (0-4000 Shutter Speed) Aerial/Aircraft Camera, just in from university surplus. This is the only known example of this camera currently in public hands. This model camera is known to have been in use during the Cuban Missile Crisis/Cold War. It has shutter speed settings of Open, 1/500th, 1/1000th, 1/2000th, and 1/4000th of a second. It is believed remaining stocks of these cameras are still held by the Air Force/Military.
It is possible that any surviving and still used cameras may have been changed to modern digital format backs. Includes 2 Maurer lenses as follows: 1 Maurer Model LA-266A, General Scientific 6 f/2.8 Finitar 2 Maurer Model LA-264A, General Scientific 38mm f4.5 Biogon (Carl Zeiss). All of our items come only with what is pictured or described in the description. Manuals, cables, power cords, software, drivers, accessories, etc are not included unless pictured or noted in the description.
