No. 4A Speed Kodak with Red Bellows & Goerz Dagor Lens Very Rare Camera

Here is a very rare No. The camera makes a wonderful display piece with excellent leather covering, original red bellows and brass Dagor lens. 4A was one of Kodak's highest end cameras at the time and they did not make many of them. I read online that less then 1000 were made. The leather covering is in excellent shape showing light wear.

The inside of the camera is excellent. The red bellows look great. I have not tested the shutter but on most of these Kodak focal plane shutter cameras the shutters no longer work. Please assume this one does not as well. The lens is a Goerz Dagor Series III No.

3 f6.8 8 1/4 lens. The lens has not been cleaned so I see some haze internally but it looks like the type that would wipe off if there was access. I also could not adjust the diaphragm but the iris diaphragm is there.

One issue is the latch on the front door is not engaging so the camera will not stay closed. The outer dimensions of the camera are approx 11 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 3 1/2. The strap is original and in great shape.

You will be hard pressed to find a nicer one and this model camera is rarely seen for sale.
