Zeiss Contax Super Nettel rangefinder, Tessar 5cm f3.5 lens case working shutter

1934 Zeiss Contax Super Nettel rangefinder, Tessar 5cm f3.5 lens case, with working shutter (but speeds not correct). An utterly gorgeous Art Deco design masterpiece. Beautiful condition, with lustrous shiny black paint finish (see photos) with only minor signs of wear on some edges. Only very minor signs of the infamous Zeiss bumps underneath the leather (see photos).

Shutter works at all speed settings but the speed regulation is not working properly. Fast and slow speeds are all similar, at around 1/100. This will be useable for taking photos, but somewhat limited, and some experimentation will be required!

Focus action is smooth and free. Viewfinder is clean and clear, free from haze or fungus. Rangefinder is working well, with good mirror image.

Tessar lens has no surface scratches and only minor cleaning marks. Looks clean and clear to the naked eye when held to the light, but when the torch of a smartphone is shone through the lens a definite haze shows across one of the internal lens surfaces, which may be separation. Bellows is free from holes and rot and appears to be light tight, but can't I guarantee. The case and its strap are in nice fully intact condition, with no broken stitching. There are some light scuffs which can be seen in the photos.

With a little polish I think the case would look gorgeous. NOTE: Re-listed because I had to end the original listing early because I was ill.
