Kardon 35mm rangefinder film camera. Made for the US Army Signal Corps. Manufactured by the Premier Instrument Company in NYC. 47mm f/2 Kodak Ektar lens. Rare collectible 35mm rangefinder camera produced for the US Army Signal Corps.

Plaque on back of the camera body. Uses Leica screw mount M39 lenses.

Camera has silver finish with black leatherette in good condition. Shutter speed range from 1/1000 to 1 sec. Military model of the Kardon camera has the tall shutter release button, and enlarged film winding knob for easier grip. Camera body is in Ex/Ex- or 8 of 10 cosmetic condition. Top cover in good condition with only a few small marks from use, and a couple of NOTICEABLE ruib marks under the Kardon name.

Bottom cover does show some marks from use. Overall good cosmetic condition for it's age. Kodak Ektar 47mm f/ 2 normal lens.

In Leica M39x1 tread mount. Aperture range for f/ 2 to f/ 16. Close focus down to 3.5' or 1 meter. Comes with aftermarket black lens cap.

Lens is in Ex+ or 9 of 10 cosmetic condition. Nice clean lens coating with no big marks or scratches. Some small dust particles inside that can be seen with a flashlight only.

Smooth and clean aperture blades. Quite RARE and desirable lens.
