First developed in West Germany by world-renowned camera-maker Rollei, this rangefinder camera was revolutionary in design and functionality for its time. It was, at the time, the smallest 35mm film camera on the market, and is still a tiny little pocketable camera by today's standards! Equipped with a fixed 40mm f/2.3 lens by Sonnar, this little camera can handle just about anything you throw at it. It has a great focal length and fast enough aperture to capture street, landscape, architecture or just about any other sort of everyday photography you might have in your wheelhouse.
It also has programmable exposure modes from 1/650 shutter speeds at f/16 to 1/30 sec. It also has both full auto and bulb modes. This particular model is in fantastic condition for its age. It seriously looks like it's barely been used over the past 40+ years. The film winder, advance lever, shutter release, and focus dial are all silky smooth and the glass is in near-flawless condition. There are hardly any blemishes on the body itself other than some slight wear on the battery compartment cover. I have not had the opportunity to put any film through this particular camera, but everything seems to work perfectly at face value. The shutter operates flawlessly and, as mentioned above, so does all of the other moving parts. You can get a good idea of the camera's condition in the listing photos. Don't miss this chance to bring home a little piece of history -- and one that is in about the best condition you'll find!
