This is a Nice OLD One, but it needs a little work to be fully operational. It's a Nice example of a 100+-year old Used camera--- it's the "chimney hood" Curtain Aperture type that Margaret Bourke-White used for all those great Depression era photos. Graflex Large Format 3 1/4 X 4 1/4 inch Ca mera---- made from about 1910 through the 1920's--- I don't know exactly when but I expect you will.
That lens is a Bausch & Lomb 5x7 Tessar Ic f/4-5 - f/32. It also comes with a Cut Sheet Film Pack Holder--- with a pack of film loaded and some are used (starts on #8). It has it's Good and Not so Good points. It's in Good Condition overall--- it has some are wear, scuffs, scratches, and some spots of paint wear---- normal age patina/wear and tear. The handle on top looks like it's been repaired a couple times--- it has glue that has hardened the breaks in spots.
The Hood Ground Glass is complete, but the rear ground glass is broken into three pieces--- the three pieces are still held in place though. The LENS glass is mostly clean--- mostly clear all the way, No major haze or glue separation, but with a little light fungus inside the front group and few other dust specs that I see. The aperture works fine but is a little tight to turn. The focus rack moves freely and the leather is complete all around.
The film holder in very good condition, although no guarantees on what might be on the film or if the rest is usable. So consider it a collectible, or an Excellent candidate for a rehabilitation/restoration with some work. Please don't expect it to be like new---- it has some issues, both known and unknown--- I might have missed something.
What you see is what you'll get--- the actual item for sale is pictured--- please check them all out. It will be packed well and safe. I'm not here trying to rip anybody off or sneak one past you. I'm not into having things go back and forth based on opinion, or risk "part swapping" either. I've been a photographer for 30+ years and I know how cameras work and what to look for and can recognize when something is broken. But I can't "Bench Test" every thing to factory specs and unless it's Brand New... I can't guarantee that every single aspect may be Perfect. Any significant defects that I know of are either pictured or described to the best of my knowledge and I try to be detailed and truthful, but I can't describe every every millimeter of it--- and I might have missed something.
What you see is what you'll get and I package my items well, so it arrives in the same condition as shown. Let's make a deal.
