The Zenit camera was one of the most widely produced analog cameras in the second half of the twentieth century. Across many models, one thing remained constant-its robust construction, making it highly resistant to wear and tear. The Zenit is a fully mechanical camera with no electronics and does not require batteries to operate. It features basic exposure settings, ranging from B and 1/30 to 1/500. The 58mm Helios 44 lens has an angle of view similar to the human eye, while its f/2 aperture allows for shooting in low-light conditions.

In recent years, the Helios 44 has gained cult status for its unique image rendering, making it especially popular for portrait photography. This early Zenit model features an M39 screw mount. The camera is in excellent condition for its age. Based on the serial number, the body was produced in 1966, and the lens in 1950. It is fully functional, with all exposures (1/30-1/500 and B) working accurately. The viewfinder is clean, and focusing is smooth. The frame counter and self-timer work flawlessly.

The light seals are in excellent condition, ensuring no light leaks. The lens is in full working order with visible signs of use. The lens elements have light cleaning marks that are barely visible and do not affect image quality. The lens is free from haze, fungus, or separation.

There is no trace of oil on the aperture blades, and the focus operates smoothly. The camera comes with a lens cap, a protective filter, and a strap attached to the Zenit case. Please refer to the photos for the accurate cosmetic condition of the item.
