Wooden half plate Camera with unbranded brass lens. Lens is good, dust, F6 max aperture, blades open/close fine, some edge separation right at edge of front element showing as gold in pictures. The camera has age related marks and the original ground glass has been replaced with a piece of frosted plastic glass. I used another piece of ground glass to take an image through camera back - see photo 5. Bellows are good and I think should be light-tight. Triple extension, dials work okay but slightly on the wonk! Camera opens and closes fine but it is a bit fiddly as is setting up on the...

A very nice and well preserved 5x7 Reygondaud tailboard camera. Very well made and everything opens out well. Bellows are in good condition. The lens is unbranded, large front and rear element, wheel waterhouse stops. Some sign that fungus has been removed at some point on front element, only visible from certain angle and won't effect performance if you're intending to use the lens.
The lens feels of such quality that it might be worth using with modern camera. The camera's ground glass is intact, the focusing rail is slightly stiff but works fine.
Shutter isn't functioning ...

IMPORTERS BOSTON Brass Magic Lantern Petzval lens, circa 1800's. Will need dissembling and lots of cleaning as can be expected. Some info on this lens according to web searching, was that it was made in Boston at 26 Bromfield St. Boston, Mass, and that it is a Petzval lens. The Petzval lens was developed in 1840 by Joseph Petzval.
It consisted of two doublet lenses with an aperture stop in between. The front lens is well corrected for spherical aberrations but introduces coma.
The second doublet corrects for this and the position of the stop corrects most of the astigmatism....

Here is a very rare Eastman Dry Plate & Film Co. This is one of Kodaks first cameras before they took on the Kodak name. At this point they were known as the Eastman Dry Plate & Film Co. I have read that they only made around 400 of these cameras and they are highly sought after today.
This camera is a 5x8 size model so is perfect for display. The camera has a brass lens that says F. The glass is clean and clear. It has a focal length of approx 10 and throws a nice image on the ground glass.
The movements on the camera all work. The bellows are in good shape but do have some...
