   Up for sale here we have a RARE Vintage NIKON S 35mm Rangefinder Camera w/ Carl Zeiss Jena Sonnar 1:1.5 5cm Lens. We had to do a lot of research to find out the model. We went to a online Nikon museum and found that this is a S model (we think so anyways). It was manufactured in 1951 we believe. Also with the camera is a Carl Zeiss lens. The lens has no fungus or haze or any internal issues as far as we can see. We haven't tested anything on the camera as it is not in our wheel house. The camera is not perfect and shows age and use.    Shutter times well at all speeds despite a wrinkle in the opening shutter curtain. When cocking the shutter, sometimes there is a little'hang up' right before the end - feels like a gear is slipping. Sometimes it works just fine. Rangefinder is working and patch is fairly clear. Rangefinder is not particularly bright. Lens has cleaning marks / scratches on front element but no fogging or hazing. Aperture works at all settings. Vintage Mamiya camera with a Mamiya-Sekor lens and 6x7 roll film holder. Cosmetically, the camera is in pretty good condition with a chip in the plastic lever on the right (see closeup). The vinyl inserts are peeling on the front panel, and there is a piece of old tape on the side of the top.
