PRODUCED FROM 1949 TO 1950. (THIS ONE IS THE XENON F/2 50MM VERSION). COMPUR-RAPID SHUTTER 1-500 SEC PLUS "B". STANDARD PC SOCKET FOR FLASH SYNC. SOME COLLECTORS CONSIDER THIS MODEL MORE RELIABLE THAN THE LATER LEVER-WIND. RETINA IIa, WHICH UTILIZED A COCKING RACK THAT IS PRONE TO BREAKAGE. This has not been tested since I no longer have any film but it opens and closes, the bellows are in good shape and there are no scratches on the lens that I can see. There is some minor damage to the leather case (unfortunately where someone had a price tag) but other than that it's just normal wear and tear that I can see. This item comes from a smoke free home. This vintage Kodak 35 Kodex camera is a museum quality example of this classic piece of film photography history. The first 35mm camera produced by the Eastman Kodak Company. This camera has been thoroughly tested and works perfectly. The shutter on this particular camera has a quirk that if pointed straight up, the shutter blades stick. There are a couple of light scuffs on its exterior and there is a light haze inside of its lens. There are a few pinhole light leaks in its bellows. All settings adjustments are smooth.
