The pre-exposure diaphragm stop down lever does not function. The mechanism in the lens is fine, and the lens stops down properly when the shutter fires. All the rest is good. The FM2 has a titanium shutter with a range of 1 to 1/4000th of a second. Shutter speeds, by sound, all vary'appropriately. Not scientific, but a rough test for sticking or otherwise not functioning.
